"CARROUSEL" - PROJET DE HARNACHEMENT D'APRES BERAIN POUR LE CHEVAL DE SA MAJESTE LE ROY LOUIS XIV EN VUE D'UN CARROUSEL. Illustré par Christiane Vauzelle édité en 1984, jamais réédité.
Rare et recherché, ce très beau foulard en twill de soie aux bords roulottés main sur fond vert bronze et liserets ivoires soutachés de jaune, se décline quatorze cavaliers et leurs chevaux richement harnachés qui semblent s'élancer dans une mise en scène à la gloire du Roy Louis XIV. Le titre au centre, dans un cercle, porte l'inscription "PROJET DE HARNACHEMENT D'APRES BERAIN POUR LE CHEVAL DE SA MAJESTE LE ROY LOUIS XIV EN VUE D'UN CARROUSEL", un cheval seul parade à la gloire du Roy de France. Dans un camaieu de tons beige, or gris bleuté, jaune, ce beau foulard est signé en bas à droite "Hermès Paris" avec son copyrigt, il porte toujours son étiquette de fabrication française 100% soie. Très bon état de conservation et d'usage pour cet élégant carré tant au niveau de la soie que des couleurs encore très belles et bien saturées. (voir photos). Dimensions ; 89 X 89

Rare and sought-after, this beautiful silk twill scarf with hand-rolled edges on a bronze green background and ivory borders with yellow accents, features fourteen horsemen and their richly harnessed horses that seem to soar in a staging to the glory of King Louis XIV. The title in the center, in a circle, bears the inscription "PROJECT OF HARNESS AFTER BERAIN FOR THE HORSE OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING LOUIS XIV IN VIEW OF A CAROUSEL", a single horse parade to the glory of the King of France. In a camaieu of beige tones, bluish gray gold, yellow, this beautiful scarf is signed bottom right "Hermès Paris" with its copyrigt, it still carries its label of French manufacture 100% silk. Very good state of conservation and use for this elegant square both in silk and colors still very beautiful and well saturated. (see photos). Sise : 89 X 89 cm
